I choose a book
called Inherit the wind, and as I said before, it is written by Jerome Lawrence
and Robert Edwin lee in year 1955 and it is inspired by real event which happened
in year 1925 known as a Scopes trial, where the teacher John Thomas Scopes was
teaching the theory of evolution, but it was against the Butler Act, a law
which forbid teaching the theory of evolution because they thought that mankind
was created by a god.
Can you believe that they actually passed a law AGAINST the teaching of scientific theory? Also, the law goes against one of the fundamental principles of the United States (oft overlooked), which is that there must be a clear separation between church and state, meaning that theology should not be taught or have any influence on state matters and institutions.
